Hey y'all.
Some time ago (probably within 6 months ago) I finally accomplished something quite interesting that I've been trying to do for a while... Make a formula that combines two numbers that are integral and can be negative or positive into a number of the same that is unique to the two numbers, so that any permutation (which is a combination but with order mattering) of the two results in a different number. For example, these pairs all give a different result:
0, 0
0, 1
1, 0
1, 1
0, 2
2, 0
2, 2
1, 2
2, 1
-1, 0
0, -1
-1, -1
-1, 1
1, -1
-2, 1
2, -1
1, -2
-1, 2
500, 3 (had to add a random one XD )
...and so on.
I won't share the working formula but I just wanted to share this interesting thing I accomplished. :)

It's a race to find out the key by asking me for clues (I'll give them out little by little like a stream so don't expect to ask a clue and solve it in 3 seconds flat (but you can be hopeful). GOOD LUCK CADETS! 🫡
Though there's one clue that's important: the encryption algorithm is des3. But that's all for now. If you don't know how to decrypt text, look it up. :)

Once someone finds the right key, decrypts it, and repeats to me the plaintext (the formula), then I'll reveal it for real, unencrypted. :D
Btw, I'm making a forum post for this puzzle (the race to get the right key) to make it a centerpoint for talk and info while the race is on, so talk about the race and ask questions and stuff there and not here so it doesn't get clogged up with things that'll be forgotten about after it's officially revealed. I decided to reveal the formula... ENCRYPTED with a key you'll have to figure out using clues I'll give so just ask. ;)
