if AI uses water for cooling and releases carbon into the atmosphere you might think its smarter to just do the thinking yourself however there's a certain point where after you've thought long enough you need to drink enough water and you breathe out enough carbon yourself that the amount of water you drink and carbon you breathe out surpasses the amount AI would use which means it would be smarter to first think about which of those would be more efficient but then the act of thinking about which is more efficient would also force you to drink water and breathe out carbon which still makes it less efficient and worse for the earth
