I'm having troubles with my conscious about if I should make The Infinitide paid. While I just want others to have something fun to do for free that is actually of value and quality (unlike the "free" mobile games out there that you might as well pay for because of the amount of ads they force into your face if you don't pay some subscription, even though the game won't be mobile but that's beside the point), I do need the money because I'm not rich and i have things i need to pay for and life and stuff; life is rough.

You know... This idea started so long ago that I can't even remember when, just that I thought of the word infinite and thought "what if I found a different word from it?" so I thought of infiniti-tide. It happens to so unique that there's absolutely no trace of the word or its likeness in the official government trademark registry (please don't take it, I swear). Over time I expanded on original lore, and the goal was to "loot abandoned buildings for parts to craft devices to locate and obtain the Infinitide, a relic that supposedly gives you infinite power and intelligence." There were two devices to aid in this, and both required something called an Omnicrystal, which I can tell you is not easy to obtain (for now, there's a long process of gaining crystals from temples of various elements like fire, water, electricity, earth, heat, cold, lava/magma, ice, light, darkness, wind, etc. and get a crystal of every element, which also had their difficulty to obtain—you had to navigate it to open a final chest which contained one—and put them all into a door of an Omnitemple to unlock it and navigate that temple which had even more difficulty and open a final chest which contained the Omnicrystal.

Anyway, the two devices were the Infinitide Renderer and the Infinitide Locator. The Renderer enabled you to "know" of its existence, which didn't just mean being able to see it—you actually couldn't come into contact with it, or do anything that would let you know of its presence. Basically, that was a requirement to obtain the Infinitide. Secondly, the Locator, which wasn't a requirement but certainly helped, would give off a slow regular beep, which would get stronger and faster the more signal it got of its presence (this didn't need the Renderer, but you still needed the Renderer for you to find it). Of course, it isn't a perfect solution. It had a pretty limited range it could be in in order to beep if it's in range. So you still had to roam a bit until you got a beep to know you're in the right area. The "sweet spot" of the range you had to be in I'll figure out in time. For now, I just need to get the game to work, and that's all I'm working on rn. The details will come later.

Basically, The Infinitide is very,very difficult to obtain, but once you do, it might be practically "game over" but not in a losing way. This is because the infinite power and intelligence practically makes you both omnipotent and omniscient, making you so OP that playing the game is kinda unfeasable. For now, once you get it, there'll be a cutscene of you obtaining it and credits playing (kinda like defeating the Ender Dragon in Minecraft) then returning to before you got the Infinitide, only it is now in a completely random location, so much so that you have to go and search for it in a large region of the world that will make it a huge mission to find it again. I might make it so that your device(s) you made of the two (Renderer and Locator) will be destroyed and beaten up to the point of uselessness so that you need to go and get Omnicrystals once again, but all the other components in it will be fine and not needing a replacement, but possibly only a repair. Idk. Anyway, this is to make the game playable after "winning" and to give other players the same chance to get the Infinitide after you because there's only one in existence, ever.

Please do let me know of any feedback or questions you have! i REALLY want your feedback because it makes me feel accomplished and that my work wasn't for naught and it's going to be fun. 😊

Bad development there. And greed. I hate such games. I wouldn't play it if i were you. Let them be boycotted until they decide to be honest and make profit without making people want to quit the game and throw your computer out the window.
