The Nine Hour War (The Travisan Lore)

The war itself is never discussed directly in TRAVISA-LIFE-THE-TRAVISAN-THE-TRAVISAN-2. Only the 20 year Aftermath is seen, such as abandoned buildings, Very little is known about the war except that it began within a matter of days after the Pocket Dimension was found while ThunderStorms raged across the Overworld. These disturbances spread Demonic life forms across the world, causing populations to move into cities for protection. Attempts to explain the storms varied, ranging from the meteorological consequences of climate change, to clandestine scientific experiments. Attracted to Earth by the dimensional rift caused by the Pocket Dimension being conquered the Devil Herobrine and his army of Demons a vast Demonic empire, launched an invasive force that overpowered the planet by using the now conquered Pocket Dimension- a crossroads of different dimensions - and its thunderstorms on earth, catching the human population by surprise and defeating all of its armed forces in only nine hours, During the Nine hours, various militaries banded with the Minecraftia Peacekeeping force. Volunteer militias also sprung up to fight against the Devil Herobrine and the Demonic invasions. As the Devil Herobrine arrived, professionals noted that the two Demonic groups were more focused on fighting with each other than conquering humanity. It was after this that Dr. Whiteman Baldiman, CEO of WHITE and its administrator, negotiated a surrender, leading to a subservient and meager existence for the Overworld's remaining human population under the oppressor and "saving" the survivors at the cost of their freedom. Baldiman was appointed administrator of the Overworld but remained under the control of Herobrine. According to newspaper clippings Baldiman notified the Minecraftia Peacemaking force that he had established communications with Herobrine, and was given carte blanche to negotiate peace at all costs. This resulted in an unconditional surrender from the MN on behalf of all nations and peoples. Baldiman received widespread criticism, with several professionals accusing him of betraying humankind and noting that the treaty established humanity as vassals. In one of his first public appearances, Baldiman acknowledged his detractors and stated that he took the only possible course of action. The planet was left in a wide state of disarray following the invasion. Thunderstorms continued as militaries, M.N. peacekeeping forces, and volunteer militias were stretched to their breaking point, leaving millions in desperate need of food and shelter as existing food supplies sat idle, unable to reach their destinations due to disruptions and lack of coordination. Experts warned that preventable deaths will occur if the situation continues, advising members of the public to remain in their homes and avoid falling prey to panic. Federal emergency response officials encouraged citizens to rely on their own existing food and water stockpiles before making use of government food banks. Scientists would remain unable to offer any solution to the ongoing portal storms devastating cities worldwide. On the following weekend, musical superstars joined forces to celebrate the lives of the fallen and issue a call for interplanetary peace and cooperation with the "BLUAid Unite" concert. Stock values plunged in the wake of Herobrine's assault on The Overworld, with most major markets having closed until further notice. Markets in The Desert Keep, Kuri, Croird, Iron Myre and continental Badlands suspended trading. Communication lines out of Minecraftia became largely inactive, leaving the status of it's stock market unknown, but assumed to be closed. The Minecraftia Securities and Exchange Commission stated that it did not expect trading to resume for the foreseeable future, given the extreme global uncertainty and instability. The-Travisan begins an undisclosed number of years after the war. the rule of the Demons and the ruined state of the Overworld has been firmly established, It also explains why there are no children in the webseries, the Demons having set up a reproductive suppression field a short time after the war to prevent any further reproduction for approximately twenty years
