I tried using the Hytale Models plugin to load my avatar from the game and it almost worked... has anyone had better success?
The steps I took to load and edit my Hytale Skin
1) Downloaded Blockbench
2) Installed the Hytale Models & Hytale Avatar Loader plugins
3) Created a new Hytale Charater model.
4) File > Import > Load Hytale Avatar
5) Selected the file from %appdata%\Hytale\UserData\CachedPlayerSkins
6) Extracted the Hytale game Assets.zip to a folder. Found in: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Hytale\install\release\package\game\latest
7) Selected the extracted Assets folder for the Load Hytale Avatar plugin.
The Hytale Character Model loaded but there are texture issues on the face, shirt and pants.

I personally would rather not download an app that I can use its website on
For example, since I have Spotify but not Spotify Premium, I just go on the website and use the desktop format on there
that way when I listen to music on my phone, I don’t have to use shuffle

It loads fine for me, maybe it is an issue with the cached skin file?
I found this Webiste. It's similar to Skindex for Minecraft. The Blockbench option is probably better. Also, you can't make that much with it yet.
this looks alot easier then blockbench
but it still isn’t phone-user friendly

You can make Hytale Skins, Avatars and Models with Blockbench using the Hytale Models plugin. There is also a Hytale Avatar Loader plugin on Blockbench for loading Hytale avatar models with textures and colors from the JSON files.
You can learn more from the official Introduction to making models for Hytale. In time, we'll have a more streamlined tutorial and process. Everything is still new and changing.
